Cruden Bay Golf Club (Onsite)

The property is proudly the closest lodging to Cruden Bay, located yards from the 1st tee. A mainstay in the list of World Top 100 Golf Course, the Tom Morris designed links course offers a mix of fun, quirky holes and arguably the most scenic golf experience you’ll find in Scotland. The course remains a favourite with notable American golf media personalities including Alan Shipnuck, Matt Ginella & Geoff Shackelford.

Cruden Bay St Olaf (9 Hole Course)

All 18 hole green fees at Cruden Bay include a complimentary round on the charming 9 hole course laid out in the middle of the Championship 18 hole routing. The St Olaf is made up of four par 3s and five par 4s but don’t be fooled. Both the 6th & 8th holes are original Tom Morris designed holes from the18 hole routing in 1899 and play over 400 yards in length.

Trump International ( 20 minutes drive)

The second Top 100 Golf Course in the region is also the newest, Trump International which opened in 2012. This modern designed links is played in huge dunes and again offers some incredible views along the Aberdeenshire coast. 

Murcar Golf Links (25 minutes drive)

Perhaps the most underrated of the championship links courses in the region, Murcar Golf Links which dates back to 1909. A true, traditional out and back links routing, the club shares the same idyllic links land with its neighbour Royal Aberdeen.

Royal Aberdeen Golf Links (30 minutes drive)

Royal Aberdeen, one of golf’s first clubs, dating back to 1780 is an open rota venue in all but name and offers a unique, traditional golf club experience. It was here the recently amended “five minute rule” was first introduced. The front nine might be the best collection of nine holes found on any links golf course.

Fraserburgh Golf Club (35 minutes drive)


The 7th oldest golf club in the world and the oldest with their original name, Fraserburgh might be one of Scotland’s most underrated links golf courses. With the history of Royal Aberdeen, the dunes of Cruden Bay and collection of best par 3s in the region, making it a must play for any northeast Scotland golf trip.
